Australian Motorcycle Museum

A family day out to Haigslea (50 Km) west of Brisbane and a driving lesson for Rachel to the Museum. Every thing from Classics,Veteran,Vintage and Modern machines.
This one at the entrance from MTT  was a smart looking bike being turbine powered. You tube that and check them out !

Marusho from Japan 1967 5 Speed (123 Built) Smart looking bike. Much like the early Beemers.

Early model Honda 450 - Very good condition 1970 CB450

The classic BSA Gold Star in great condition also.

This machine is a Replica of the 1930 Henderson using a GL1000cc engine. Talk about Art Deco.

Dryvtech .... catches the eye for sure with that colour scheme, two wheel drive

A little known from the land of Yum Cha .... Dong Hai started production around 1970. Not a bad looking machine.

This place is huge with Bikes everywhere, even some mounted up on the walls. Everything from Laverda, BMW, Ducati BSA Ariel and many many more.

Google Map Link to the Museum can be found here

Byron Bay

Lighthouse @ Byron

Many years since visiting the Lighthouse at Byron so thought we would take Rachel for a glimpse of the most eastern point of Australia. The day was very warm with little breeze and the view was sensational.

Looking South from the lighthouse at Tallow Beach. A favourite spot for the local naturalists, so I'm told.

The most Easterly point on the Australian Mainland

At the top, a light breeze and a view for miles.

Kingscliff

Peppers Salt Resort and Spa

Well our first impressions of Peppers are excellent. We have opted for the 2 bedroom apartment and works well. All self contained, air conditioned with our own mini pool. Underground parking, bikes for hire when we aren't swimming or checking out the local shops or restaurants.

There are numerous swimming pools at the resort including this spa pool.

The heated pool, very nice for those cooler days. The Spa situated at the top end under the umbrella.

Seasons for buffet breakfast every morning, sensational dining.

Our own mini pool, a bit cool but will be well utilised during the holiday.

The white sandy beach goes for miles, a favourite spot for weddings.

The main resort pool, an ideal spot to sip a cocktail or lounge on one of the large cane seats.
